Worthington Farm Monocacy Battlefield- Amaya Family

“They’re gorgeous!”

When the Amaya family stepped out of their car at the Worthington Farm at Monocacy Battlefield, I remember being overjoyed. They’re gorgeous! They have one little son and one tiny dog, their outfits were matching, and they were just stunning to look at!

Grace and Jimmy have such a cool story. They actually met in Columbia while Jimmy was stationed there. Obviously he couldn’t imagine ever leaving without her, and now here we are! Grace and Jimmy have traveled all over together thanks to the Army. They have been to Italy, Germany, Brazil, and Switzerland to name a few. They’re basically living my dream life! I’m sure I was getting a little obnoxious because I couldn’t stop asking questions about Europe. I want to go so badly!!

Their little dog, Charlie, also came along on their adventures. Grace told me that while they were in Italy, he was chased by a cow. The reason this funny little story came up is because there were a lot of cows in the field at Monocacy battlefield that day, and Charlie was very wary of them. I don’t blame him! I would be afraid of cows too if one chased me!

Their baby, Ethan, was mostly pretty happy to be there, and I even got a smile out of him in the end. The fact that father and son had matching outfits made me swoon. How cute!

Once our session was done and I was driving away, I noticed how beautiful the lighting was on the road and quickly texted grace to ask if we could shoot just a few more. Luckily, they went along with my crazy and didn’t think it too insane when I just jumped out of my car in the middle of the road, because those pictures ended up being some of my favorites!
