I’m not even sure what to say about Emily and Matt’s beautiful backyard wedding. It was stunning. Emily made most of the decorations. The ceremony was in a white tent in her parent’s backyard. And, I was completely honored and humbled to be chosen to photograph their special day. I am actually still pinching myself that this even happened!
All of the tiny details of their wedding really were amazing. Emily thought about everything, and she was meticulous. All of the bridesmaids’ hangers had their names on it, and her hanger had a Mrs. Snyder made out of wire on it. That really blew me away. Adorable! Emily made the bouquets and boutonnieres herself, and I think they were gorgeous! Can we talk about the back of Emily’s dress? The beading and lace detail on that dress were seriously breathtaking.
The groomsmen were so much fun to work with, and I really enjoyed it. When they showed up with suspenders, I almost died of happiness. I love suspenders! I love the whole color scheme of Emily and Matt’s wedding. Navy and burnt orange look so good together, and it’s perfect for a fall wedding.
Now, onto Emily and Matt themselves. Without divulging their entire life story, Matt ended up living with Emily’s aunt and uncle, and that’s how Emily eventually met him. From what everyone said in their speeches, it sounded like Emily and Matt were pretty inseparable after that and everyone knew they were just meant to be. Fast forward 4 years, and here we are at their wedding! I love stories like that. The stories about couples who start out friends and end up soul mates. So romantic!
The reception might have been my favorite part to take pictures of because that whole group of people was just so much fun. There was so much laughing, dancing, and singing! Every single person there was kind and inviting, and they all were happy to have me take pictures of them and get in their space, which I appreciated it. That tent was so full of love and joy, so I was truly humbled to be a part of it.
